Why have just a regular old CD release party when you can make history instead? That’s the question that Orlando rock group The Queues found themselves asking and answering when they arranged to have their CD release party for their new album, Noisemaker, in a Denny’s restaurant. July 19 was the first time that any Denny’s has ever played host to a rock concert.

Orlando rock veteran Christian Wilson has picked up a new supporting act: Christian Wilson and the Wayward Sons. Wilson fronted the band with the support of “amazingly gifted musicians, songwriters and producers,” he says, and refuses to acknowledge it as a solo act. The band played its first show on July 19 in Orlando and expect to have an album out sometime in the near future.
