Peavey SP 5.5P Loudspeaker Enclosure

Soon to come from Peavey, the SP 5.5P loudspeaker enclosure builds upon the reliability of the SP 5 with a litany of new features. Built from nine-ply Baltic birch to ensure the preservation of low-end frequency, the SP 5.5P boasts a 15” Peavey Black Widow loudspeaker. Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology produces unaltered sound, strengthened by a bi-amplified 1,000-watt power amplifier. Peavey affords additional acoustic integrity through DDT compression speaker protection and an asymmetrical horn design to project sound down to the audience. Daisy-chain several units with the enclosure’s Loop Out/In jack.

Crown International XTi Series Amplifiers

Crown International has released its XTi Series amplifiers, ideal for portable PA applications. Consisting of three models, the XTi 1000, 2000, and 4000, the series offers between 500 and 1,200 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Both light and durable, the amplifiers include an LCD display and built-in DSP speaker presets, allowing for control of crossover frequencies, EQ, limiting, and delay settings. Connect the amplifiers to a computer’s USB port and you can set up the amplifiers through the included HiQnet software.

Trace Elliot 7-Band Bass Amplifiers

Trace Elliot has introduced three new 7-Band bass amplifiers, emphasizing tonal control for bassists. Made up of the 715 Combo, the 715X Combo, and the AH500-7 Head, the series features four footswitchable controls: Pre-Shape for tone adjustment, a seven-band graphic EQ, a compressor with self-adjusting attack and release times, and an output mute. The 715 and 715X Combo models include a 15” Celestion loudspeaker with a high-frequency horn for powerful fidelity while the AH500-7 Head boasts a series effects loop and XLR DI selectable pre/post preamp. These compact amplifiers are an adaptable addition to the Trace Elliot line.
