Audio-Technica, in continuing to bolster its Artist Series mic line, has recently released three new live sound vocal microphones. All three come equipped with the trademark Hi-ENERGY neodymium magnet for high output and, thanks to all-metal casings, feature the durability required for extensive touring. The ATM410 ensures accurate sound fidelity with its cardioid polar pattern and multi-stage grille design to reduce the impact of plosives. Its hypercardioid relative, the ATM610, isolates its sound source by limiting pickup from the sides and rear of the mic and boasts a floating back-cavity to cut down on handling noise. The ATM710, a cardioid condenser, can handle the most demanding vocal dynamics with an 80Hz hi-pass filter and a switchable 10dB pad. Each mic comes with a stand clamp and carrying pouch.
