Hosa Elite Series guitar cable
Price: $37 (5-foot), $62 (25-foot)
Hosa Technologies has released its new Elite Series guitar cables. The new cables feature a stranded 20 AWG “Hi-Purity” Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) conductor, which improves the signal and reduces resistance. The stranded copper increases the bandwith and allows the guitar sound to retain its tone. The Foamed Polyethlyne (FPE) dielectric adds air and improves the dielectric properties to create an extremely low, usually very expensive 20.8 pF/ft (picofarads/ft) capacitance.

RoboKey 4X ‘Gear Drive’ Drumkey
Price: $25
RoboKey USA’s inline, ratio gear system rotates standard drum bolts four times for every one turn of the wrist, allowing speedy drumhead maintenance without the need for power tools or clumsy, oversized ratchets.
Additionally, by grasping the handle and twisting the GearDrive collar, one can rotate the bolts up to six times faster than a traditional drum key. This intuitive motion and ratchet wrench capability significantly reduce wrist strain. Bolts must be loosened first for this feature to work; the Robokey defaults to a normal drum key when it senses tension. The distinctive color and sturdy palm-sized design (4” and 4.3 oz) make it easy enough to locate without the aid of stage lights or at the bottom of a bag.

Eventide TimeFactor
Price: $399
TimeFactor is actually two delays in one unit. The two delays can run simultaneously and mix between themselves to tweak your sound and thicken your tone. Dialing in your tone to fit your fancy is fairly easy considering all adjustments are made by a twist of a knob rather than digging through a thousand confusing menus. There are digital delays, analog delays, tape delays, univibes, modulations and a looper. Other interesting features include reverses and gates. The unit can be true bypass or buffered. The buffered bypass sounds identical to the true bypass - truly something to be heard.
With 40 patches and each bank having two patches, there are plenty of options. There's a foot switch for each of the two patches in the bank. The only limiting factor is having to moving sequentially and up through the banks in an upward direction, but nothing a little foresight can't take care of. A built-in looper sounds perfect and can even punch over the sound and fade earlier recordings in the loop. The loop back is limited to 20 seconds, however, the length of the loop can be extended at the expense of the signal quality.
